Why Do We Do The Grief Cafés?
The Grief Café is not a support group, it is simply a place to have a conversation about grief. Our aim is simply to normalise this conversation that everyone should be having.
The Grief Café is not just about sad things. It is a place to feel heard, a place to feel accepted. The truth of the matter is: everyone that has been through something similar to us, and we have been brought together by this mutual understanding.
I can’t tell you how many moments I have had within the cafés where I am surprised that other people have had similar feelings to those I have as well.
The feeling I get afterwards, is unparalleled. It’s a mixture of relief, validation and overwhelming joy that I am not alone.
The Grief Café is a place for listening to each other, learning from each other. You are not alone. You never have been. You never will be.
There’s always someone to talk to.

Be blessed as you help others.
Hi Katie and Evee …thank you for the cafe today. I enjoyed the conversations and the short intro and leaving meditation. May all our grief journeys take us to places of joy as well as sadness, or anger as well as calm ….in fact, any other feeling you want to have along the way is OK. There are no rules 🙂 x joy langley
Thank you Joy for coming 🙂 I wish the same for you, and I’m grateful for my grief to provide me with meaningful conversations and bonds 🙂
