We love watching a good series together, and going for walks! How about you? We would love to know 🙂

      1. For me, it takes me to a completely other world without Covid, or my current life worries, and I can just melt into this world without thinking about my world 🙂

      2. It’s ok. I have this tendency to concentrate deeply on whatever I am reading, so much so that I don’t even realize what is happening around me. It’s a means of ‘escape’ for me.

  1. I like watching QVC sometimes. There is no negativity or hatred. I also like going for walks but it is way too cold and I am looking forward to Spring. So I just exercise at home. God bless.

  2. It’s hard to find time to relax but when I’m lucky enough, I like to go for walks by myself, exercise, and take long naps. 🤣

  3. Cats, photography, music (listening, playing, writing and recording), and daily visits with our wild winged friends are it for me.

      1. I like interacting with the owls. I talk to the owls, which they probably think is really weird, but it’s fun.

A few years ago a friend walked down about a mile from the house with me to see a set of owlets (young owls). The owls are usually pretty consistent about being out, but not always. We got down to the spot where the three owlets liked to hang out, but they were not there. So I called to them.

A few minutes later all three owls flew out of the bosque and perched in the cottonwoods where we could see them. I don’t know if they were on their way and it was a coincidence that they showed up after I called out to them or they actually came out because they heard me calling.

      2. It is. After I found a badger and her badgerlings a couple of years ago, my wife came back with me to see them. They were not at their den like the evening before. I called out to them, and they all three came running back to their den. It made us laugh. They were probably running to defend their den, but they never showed more than curiosity towards us.

      1. Yes exactly. I think this is a great method to prevent emotional overwhelm and or burnout! Rather than feeling frustration at not being able to do the thing we want to, we can switch to yoga or writing, or running 🤍 I think this is a great example of adaptability!

      1. It depends on my “mood”, when I’m angry or upset I usually listen to rock music, when I’m sad I prefer slow songs, otherwise just pop music is okay. I have specific playlists on spotify 😊

  4. Before I set off for work I place a wheelbarrow full of wood outside, there, if I’m lucky, some kind soul will stoke and keep the fire lit so when darkness falls and the temperature drops below freezing, I come home, light the indoor fire, make tea and walk my hounds across the frost crunching fields, and after I hit the outdoor bath, steam fills the garden and I sit silently under the stars boiling myself.
    It seems to work.

      1. You can visit my website if you like. spiritualjourneyhealing.com I have a YouTube page which I’m trying to post sessions. Most of them I don’t because they’re too personal.

      1. Thank you. Sometimes my creative outlets calm me and sometimes they energize me. I suppose it depends on the day and my music and writing choices. 😊 Be well.

      1. Ah, yes, is fun. Some I get to do more than others, like meditate and write, yet when I get to, for instance, drive or walk along the coast, that is an even more special moment. Have a great weekend. 😊

  5. One of the things I enjoy is the aspect of creation. I have an Etsy shop and love to get crafty. To recharge and reboot I spend time in nature and combine hiking and photography. There are just too many to list hahaha

  6. I was totally relaxed last night after a shift in the dreaded PPE, by having a lovely warm bath 🛀 as soon as I got home, then a meal made for me, while watching Lingo 📺 on ITV hub. If any want the specifics of the meal: Vegan No beef bourguignon pie 🥧 from Aldi, new potatoes with a dollop of Flora marg and steamed asparagus, with veggie gravy and of course a glass or two of low alcohol (also vegan) three mills white wine 🍾 (cheap as chips from Home Bargains about £3/£4 a bottle).
So how lovely and true is the saying (BTW meat in this verse means food): ‘Some hae meat and canna eat, And some wad eat that want it, But we hae meat and we can eat, And sae the Lord be thankit.’ by Robert Burns. I slept really soundly and woke refreshed.

  7. A BIG thumbs up 👍🏻 for walking!! And even better if that walking is in nature or on the beach. I love reading (sometimes a love story with a good ending, is all I need).
Oh yes, and camping of course … this is the best way of getting away from the tv, newspapers, etc … and totally relax in nature!

  8. I am so blessed to be surrounded by so much countryside and walk my dog twice a day, she is a bit of a handful, 11 years old but still full of energy so we get great exercise and lots of fresh air. Thank you for connecting with me beautiful people.

      1. Sorry, I didn’t realise you had replied. Yes, nature is my relax/meditation place, even when raining. My dog is cross Fox Terrier and Chow, she is called Louna and is affected by the moon!

  9. Thanks for sharing!..#1, I spend some time without technology and enjoy my little part of the universe, perhaps with a book #2. a cup of Chamomile tea (or decaf Earl Grey), meditation and soft music… 🙂

    Until we meet again..
May flowers always line your path
    and sunshine light your way,
    May songbirds serenade your
    every step along the way,
May a rainbow run beside you
in a sky that’s always blue,
And may happiness fill your heart
each day your whole life through.
    (Irish Saying)

      1. 💜
Erm, it’s a hard read, if I’m being honest. I have to have my full attention otherwise some things don’t make sense. But still enjoying it a lot.
