My dad … who passed away almost 7 years ago … he was such a wise man and loved us dearly. And my only brother and his family who lives in the UK – we have last seen them in 2018.
But, although neither of them is touchable, they are all living on in my heart 💌.
I am in a fortunate position as I haven’t quite lost someone to mortality, but grief can also affect those parents who have children with disabilities, both mental and physical. It is still a grieving process a parent passes through for the child who was, who might have been, for their lost opportunities and lost selves. So when you ask who do you miss? I miss the child/children they were, the fun loving people they are no more, whilst still hoping that they can find a way to become that in some form again.
This is such an insightful comment, thank you so much for sharing.

Absolutely, that is such a positive outlook to have 🙂
I’m lucky that all my children and their families live in the same city as I do. But I do miss my parents who have passed away.
That is wonderful x It never gets easier, does it? x
You’re right. Thanks 😊
I miss a lot of people. Too many to mention. But the memories are strong so they are actually always really close by.
I think so xx Hope you are well x
