#32 Thursday Thoughts: When Was The Last Time You Challenged Yourself?

Katie recently shared that she ran 80km in the month of August to challenge herself. What did you last do?

We are looking forward to reading all of your comments!

  1. I challenge myself every time I leave my comfort zone! Writing this blog is a challenge, as I tend to write from deep inside and let it fly! And I recently submitted photos of several paintings of mine (I paint for pleasure, for myself) and one of them was accepted to be included in an art magazine!! If we don’t try, we won’t know. If we don’t risk, we won’t get surprised. If we don’t leap, we won’t truly live our fullest lives. The older I get (and it is coming ever more quickly) the more I realize how true this is. I ask myself, what am I afraid of? What will this all matter when I am gone?
Keep doing what your are doing – you are doing great!

  2. A couple of months ago I took part in a charity walk! I walked about 6 miles mostly at a pace and had no ill effects. I proved to myself that after some disabling back and leg problems in the previous year, I am on the mend. I shall continue with my exercise routine consistently over the winter and hopefully in the spring I can return to some longer walks.

  3. After 14 years, I finally finished the drywall in the expansion of our garage! I had insulated it, but never bothered drywalling the extra three feet we had added. Last week, put the drywall up, yesterday and today, first coat of mud and tape; next week I’ll get to the second coat and maybe a third; then on to painting. The garage has been there 29 years, and just roughed in with drywall (and now my addition), but never painted. I kept telling my wife, “I said I will paint the garage; you don’t have to nag me every two or three YEARS!” ๐Ÿ˜‚ (Just for the record, she didn’t.)
