Merry Christmas to the grievers, at this time of year.

Merry Christmas to the empty seat,

To the present unwrapped,

To the starless tree.

Merry Christmas to the grievers, at this time of year.

Merry Christmas to the unbroken cracker

To the empty stocking,

To the uneaten dinner.

Merry Christmas to your pain, at this time of year.

Merry Christmas to your love,

To your unbending strength,

And most of all, to yours above.

Your grief is seen and felt, even at the time of the Christmas spirit and when all is merry. You are seen. You are heard. Your loved one, nor you, is forgotten.

Especially in this situation, most of us have lost our loved ones or have felt grief due to this situation, so this year Christmas won’t be the same, yet we have to go on with our life. Hope for the better days to come and celebrate every moment of our live till it lasts. So merry Christmas to everyone!! ❤️

  19. Beautiful post Eve! I felt the absence of my dad this seasons, because Christmas was his favourite… two months have passed since he passed, and everyone around me seems to have forgotten about him, but it still hurts!

  20. What a beautiful post Eve! I have lost both my Uncle and Aunt this year and I really felt it on Christmas day morning in particular when I would normally ring them and this year they weren’t here to ring, your post provides comfort and hope to those who may feel lost and alone, for some it would be the first year for others it may be many years but it still feels like yesterday.
    Wishing you both a belated Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.
