#63 Thursday Thoughts: What Advice Would You Give Your Younger Self?

My advice would be to rest often and to try to enjoy myself a bit more. I worry that I spend so much time worrying about the future that the present will just pass me by. It is hard not to worry when the worst-case scenario did happen and nothing I did changed the outcome.

What advice would you give yourself? At any extreme point in your life.

  1. I guess I would tell my younger self “not to take life so seriously! Not to be in such a hurry to change the world. To just enjoy being young and travel a bit more. That it’s okay not to have it all figured out, you’ll find out what you want to do with your life later.”

      1. In all seriousness, I think a lesson that I’ve learned that I had little understanding of when I was younger is that beauty can be had even in the midst of profound loss.

  2. To get out of my comfort zone and try new things without fear. It took becoming an adult to figure that out. Better late than never.

      1. I’m just not sure there is anything we could tell our past selves that would actually change anything.
Nothing we do now can change the past.. We survived. We’ll keep surviving.

      2. Lots of rain headed our way this week but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it will still be a good one, thank you!

  3. My advice would be to get counseling for ‘life-controlling-sin’ and talk to others about Jesus more.
A friend just noted in his blog today, “It is not about you. You do not have to feel worthy to share the Gospel, because it IS about Jesus.”
    ❤️&🙏, c.a.
